The details
What counts as a lookup?
Any successful call to /api/address/suggestions or
/api/address/metadata. Rejected requests — a bad key, an expired
plan, a request over quota — are never counted against you.
What happens at the limit?
Requests past 50,000 in a calendar month are answered
429 Too Many Requests until the 1st. We email you at 80% so it is
not a surprise, and you can move up a tier at any time — the unused part of
your current period is carried over, not forfeited.
How do I pay?
By card, through Airwallex. Every payment raises a GST tax invoice in Xero and emails you the PDF. If your organisation needs to pay by bank transfer against an invoice, email us and we will set that up.
Is there a contract?
No. A plan buys a period of access. Stop paying and it lapses at the end of the period you have already bought — nothing auto-renews without you, and nothing is deleted when it does lapse.
Attribution
The dataset is LINZ NZ Addresses, licensed CC BY 4.0. That
licence requires you to credit the source wherever addresses are shown. Every
response carries an X-Data-Attribution header with the exact wording,
so there is nothing to remember.
